Marathon is made up of individuals and families (Partners) who want to give back to their communities by sharing their experience and knowledge with children through the crucial stages of their educational development. Since Marathon's founding on September 11, 2002 through March 2008, 90 Partners have joined together to help 54 children in the Portland, Vancouver and Pendleton schools.
Marathon is sustained by our Partners' financial commitment - a long-term investment that will have a meaningful impact on a child's ability to attend and afford college or university. As of March 2008, $672,000 has been pledged toward higher education scholarships. On behalf of Marathon Education Partners, I invite you to find out more about our mission and how to join this committed group of people.
